Where are your windows?
First of all you need to think practically. Therefore if you have large patio doors that people are opening and closing regularly, your best option is going be a perfect fit blind or a vertical blind. This is also dependant on the type of doors you have. Another thing you need to consider when choosing your kitchen blinds is where your windows are placed. If they’re placed over a sink you’ve got to remember you’re going to be opening and closing it at least twice a day, so make sure it’s not too heavy!
If your windows are near a cooker or sink, we would recommend our wipeable PVC range. This is available in vertical, roller & venetian. This means that your blinds will last a lot longer as they won’t go moldy or have mildew due to water or steam from your kitchen. They’re also great if you cook a lot and the hob spits grease or oil onto your blinds as it will just wipe right off.
Want more of a homely feel?
If your windows aren’t directly next to a sink or cooker, or you just want a more warming appearance to your kitchen (especially if you have a kitchen/diner) – you could then choose roman blinds. With over 2000 fabrics to choose from, you’re sure to find a fabric to match your interior. All of our roman blinds come with blackout lining as standard. This makes them great value whilst still being a really luxurious blind to have up at your windows.
You could even go the whole hog and dress your patio doors with a stylish pair of curtains. This may even eliminate the need for blinds as you can just close your curtains at night for privacy. It may also help with keeping the heat in.
